Sensory Assessment

Sensory processing involves perceiving, processing, and reacting to sensory input from within our bodies and the external environment, aiding in organisation and appropriate reactions in various situations.

A Sensory Assessment is completed by an Occupational Therapist who is an Advanced Sensory Intergration Practitioner and will help to feel regulated and less anxious.

What to expect from an Equally Different Sensory Assessment

Initially, a telephone call to ensure suitability, followed by histoy taking and questionnaires

You or your child will then be observed in school and and/or home (depending on assessment package)

Following the assessment, the results will be documented, and you will receive a detailed report outlining the findings and providing any recommendations for home and school. The report can be used to support and EHCP.​

A sensory assessment is suitable for anyone age 4+.

It can help support those that are struggling at school, home or work and provide strategies for finding regulation and calmness rather than the feeling of chaos or overload.

No referral is needed for a sensory assessment.​

This report is then yours to distribute to who ever would benefit from reading it and can be used when gathering evidence for an EHCP’s.
